Sunday

The following alterations will apply:

  • 06:35 Yeovil Junction to Tisbury will run as an additional train. A connecting bus will run from Tisbury to Salisbury
  • 07:10 Salisbury to Exeter St Davids will be replaced by a bus between Salisbury and Tisbury. The bus will leave Salisbury at the earlier time of 06:40
  • 07:32 Yeovil Junction to London Waterloo will start from Salisbury. An additional train will run from Yeovil Junction to Tisbury leaving at 07:32. A connecting bus will run from Tisbury to Salisbury
  • 08:05 Basingstoke to Exeter St Davids will terminate at Salisbury. A bus will run from Salisbury to Gillingham (Dorset). An additional train will run from Tisbury to Exeter St Davids at 09:10, a bus will run from Salisbury to connect into this train
  • 08:54 Gillingham (Dorset) to London Waterloo will start from Salisbury

Buses will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Chester calling at these stations
  • On Sunday until 12:30, trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Chester will be replaced by buses between Warrington Bank Quay and Chester 


Northern Rail

Saturday

The following alterations will apply:

  • Trains between Southport / Wigan and Chester will be retimed to arrive / depart slightly earlier / later than normal
  • 20:17 and 21:17 Manchester Piccadilly to Chester services will be replaced by buses between Mouldsworth and Chester
  • 21:33 Chester to Manchester Piccadilly will be replaced by a bus between Chester and Mouldsworth. The bus will leave Chester at the earlier time of 21:02
  • 22:17 Manchester Piccadilly to Chester will be replaced by a bus between Greenbank and Chester
  • 22:45 Chester to Manchester Piccadilly will be replaced by a bus between Chester and Greenbank. The bus will leave Chester at the earlier time of 22:09

  • On Saturday, trains between London Bridge and Three Bridges will be diverted between London Bridge and East Croydon, causing journey times to be extended by up to 15 minutes (buses are also replacing trains between Three Bridges and Brighton).  
  • On Sunday, trains between Bedford and Three Bridges will be diverted between London Blackfriars and East Croydon, calling additionally at Elephant & Castle but not calling at London Bridge. Customers should use London Underground services between Elephant & Castle and London Bridge (buses are also replacing trains between Three Bridges and Brighton).


London Overground

The following alterations will apply:

  • Trains will run between Highbury & Islington and New Cross Gate.
  • Passengers travelling between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace / West Croydon should use replacement buses operated by Southern.


Southern

Saturday

The following alterations will apply:

  • Buses replace trains between London Bridge and West Croydon.
  • Trains between London Bridge and London Victoria via Forest Hill and Streatham Hill will not run.
  • Trains between London Victoria and Sutton via Streatham Hill will run between London Victoria and Crystal Palace.
  • Trains from London Bridge to Tattenham Corner will run between Purley and Tattenham Corner.
  • Trains from Tattenham Corner to London Bridge are diverted to terminate at London Victoria.
  • Trains between London Bridge and Uckfield will run between Oxted and Uckfield.
  • Trains between London Bridge and Tonbridge / Reigate will run as a shuttle service between Tonbridge and Reigate.
  • Trains between London Bridge and Horsham will run between East Croydon and Horsham.
  • Trains between London Bridge and Caterham will not run. Customers should use alternative services to/from London Victoria.


Sunday

The following alterations will not run

  • Buses replace trains between London Bridge and West Croydon.
  • Trains between London Victoria and Sutton via Streatham Hill will run between London Victoria and Crystal Palace and between West Croydon and Sutton
  • Trains from Tattenham Corner to London Bridge are diverted via Selhurst and will run non stop from Selhurst to London Bridge.

  • 08:00 London Paddington to Plymouth - terminates at Bristol Temple Meads
  • 08:01 Exeter St Davids to Cardiff Central - a connecting bus will run from Taunton to Weston-super-Mare, passengers should then use alternative services to Cardiff Central

Description

Cosford station is closed for refurbishment until March 2012. Because of this, no trains will call at Cosford station. Replacement buses will run between Albrighton and Cosford.

At both stations buses will pick up/set down at the front of the station.

Cosford is not served by any train service on Sundays, therefore no buses will run.

Description
  • There are no 'cross-London' services between St Pancras International and London Bridge/Herne Hill at weekends, bank holidays (including Friday 6 April and Monday 9 April) or between 22:30 and 04:30 every week night (See below for a list of dates on which a cross London service WILL operate). This work is a key part of the Thameslink programme
  • During this time, customers should use London Underground (or London Buses at weekends only) to cross Central London. Outside London Underground operating hours, replacement buses will be provided between London Blackfriars / London Bridge and London St Pancras.
  • All work is expected to be completed and full service resume from Saturday 19 May 2012.
  • London Blackfriars Underground station will be closed until Sunday 26 February 2012. Customers should travel to Temple / Mansion House / City Thameslink stations which are close to Blackfriars. London Blackfriars mainline station remains open during this time.

A cross-London train service WILL run on the following weekend / Bank Holiday days:

  • Sunday 12 February
  • Sunday 25 March
  • Saturday 21 April
  • Sunday 22 April
  • Saturday 28 April
  • Saturday 12 May
  • Sunday 13 May
  • Saturday 19 May


Ticket Acceptance

National Rail tickets will be accepted on London Underground services via any reasonable route to complete your cross-London journey

Tickets will also be accepted, at the weekend only on the following London Bus services:

  • Routes 45: London Blackfriars, London St Pancras International 
  • Routes 63 or N63: Elephant & Castle, London Blackfriars, Farringdon, London St Pancras International
