Fare charged is based on the time of touch in on the gate or card card validator at the origin station of the journey:
Mondays-Fridays off-peak fare not valid between 06:30-09:30 and 16:00-19:00. Valid all day Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
You must touch in and out with a Contactless payment card or Contactless device.
You can also use an Oyster card with pay as you go credit, but only for travel between stations in London Zones 1-9, Bayford, Broxbourne, Chafford Hundred, Cuffley, Earlswood, Epsom, Gatwick Airport, Grays, Hertford East, Hertford North, Horley, Merstham Ockendon, Potters Bar, Purfleet, Radlett, Redhill, Rye House, Salfords, St Margarets, Ware, Watford Junction.
Charges capped at daily price cap limit, based on all journeys made on all journeys made on the same card or device between 04:30 and 04:29 the following day.
Return Travel

Easement
On Fridays between 8 March and 31 May 2024 inclusive, Pay as you go will be charged at off-peak rates all day.
