Summary

National Rail has joined together with the RSPB and Mammals Trust UK to produce a leaflet called Tracking Wild Britain

Offer details

The 'Tracking Wild Britain' leaflet features ten routes across Britain, highlights the birds and mammals that can be seen from the train and shows that travelling by train is not only environmentally friendly but that it is also educational, interesting and fun. The ten routes selected for the leaflet are: 1. London Victoria-Brighton (Southern, First Capital Connect, Gatwick Express) 2. Leeds-Manchester (Transpennine Express and Northern) 3. Sheffield-Derby (Virgin, Midland Mainline, Central Trains) 4. Peterborough-Norwich (Central Trains, One) 5. London Liverpool Street- Manningtree-Harwich (One) 6. Oxford-Worcester-Hereford (First Great Western, First Great Western Link) 7. Llanelli - Shrewsbury (Arriva Trains Wales) 8. Exeter- Penzance (First Great Western, Wessex Trains, Virgin Trains and Arriva Trains Wales) 9. Southampton - Weymouth (South West Trains) 10. Newcastle- Edinburgh (GNER and Virgin) The leaflet is a guide for everybody; children and adults alike, and has plenty of pictures to help to identify the birds and mammals along the routes. There is also an opportunity for children to send in stories and pictures of their journeys and the birds or mammals that they have seen. The best ones will then be posted onto a special page on http://www.trakkies.co.uk
