The RMT Union has announced that industrial action will take place affecting Northern services on Friday 28 April.
Northern expects to run approximately 40 per cent of its normal train timetable and more than 300 additional rail replacement buses, to help keep the north of England on the move. All services are expected to be extremely busy, as the industrial action is taking place on the Friday before the bank holiday weekend and the first day of the Tour de Yorkshire cycle event.
55 Northern routes will be covered by trains or buses on Friday. Details of these are available here. The majority of trains will only run between 07:00 and 19:00. You are advised to give yourself extra time to travel and consider whether your journey is necessary.
Further information on the impact to your train services will be published here when it becomes available.

We are hoping that Friday's Northern strike timetables will be available in the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner from Tuesday 25 April onwards.
