Engineering work is taking place between Taunton and Bristol Temple Meads, closing the line between these stations.

Great Western Railway

On Saturday night, the 20:30 London Paddington to Exeter St Davids will be re-timed to depart earlier than usual and will terminate at Weston-super-Mare. The train will be replaced by a bus between Weston-super-Mare and Exeter St Davids.

On Saturday night, the 21:00 Cardiff Central to Exeter St Davids service will terminate at Bristol Temple Meads and passengers should transfer on to the Weston-super-Mare service as above.

On Sunday, no trains will operate between Taunton, Weston-super-Mare and Bristol Temple Meads. Buses will replace trains between these stations.

Some trains between Paignton and London Paddington will divert between Taunton and Chippenham and will not be able to call at intermediate stations via Bath Spa and Bristol Temple Meads.


On Sunday until 14:20, buses will replace trains between Taunton and Bristol Temple Meads.

On Sunday after 14:20, trains will be diverted between Taunton and Bristol Temple Meads. Journey times will be extended by up to 60 minutes.

Please note, due to adverse weather conditions affecting the roads, buses are currently unable to run between Taunton and Bristol Temple Meads in both directions.
