Engineering work is taking place between Cardiff Central and Bridgend, closing the line via Pontyclun.

After approximately 21:50 each night Monday to Thursday, all trains will be diverted via Barry on the Vale of Glamorgan Line. Trains will be unable to call at Pontyclun, Llanharan and Pencoed.

Arriva Trains Wales

Replacement road transport will run between Cardiff Central, Pontyclun, Llanharan, Pencoed and Bridgend.

Great Western Railway

Every night between Monday and Thursday, late night trains from London Paddington to Swansea will divert via the Vale of Glamorgan Line, and will run up to 25 minutes later than the usual timetable from Bridgend. Please note some late night trains will terminate at Neath and replaced by buses to Swansea.

The 03:54 Swansea to London Paddington service, Tuesday morning to Friday morning, will also start from the Neath. Earlier buses will run between Swansea and Neath. The train will also divert via the Vale of Glamorgan Line.
