Description

Engineering work is taking place between Stalybridge and Leeds, closing the lines through Huddersfield early morning on Monday between these stations.

Until approximately 05:30, trains between Manchester Airport and York will run between Leeds and York only.

Road transport will run between Manchester Airport and Leeds via Manchester Piccadilly.

Non folding bicycles are not allowed on rail replacement bus services at any time. Folding bicycles are allowed if fully folded. For more information, please see here.

Project Information:

As part of the Trans-Pennine Route Upgrade, Network Rail are upgrading bridges, tunnels, track, junctions and signalling. Work will be done assessing 38 level crossings along the route, removing trees and installing fencing. Network Rail are also installing overhead line equipment so that electric trains can run along the route.
