Engineering work is taking place between Chesterfield and Sheffield, closing some lines.


Trains will be diverted, extending journey times by up to 30 minutes. Some trains will call additionally at Doncaster and trains may depart earlier than usual to allow for the extended journey times.

Trains which usually run between Reading and Newcastle will be amended to run between Reading and Derby. Customers should use alternative services available to Newcastle.

East Midlands Trains

Trains will run as a part service between Norwich and Nottingham, and between Nottingham and Liverpool Lime Street. Trains will call additionally at Ilkeston, Langley Mill and Alfreton and journey times between Nottingham and Sheffield will be extended.


Buses will replace trains between Nottingham and Sheffield.
