Engineering work is taking place Clifton and Buckshaw Parkway / Hindley, closing all lines through Bolton.

No trains will run via Bolton.

Trains to Southport will be diverted on alternative routes via Atherton and trains to Preston via Eccles. Trains to Blackburn will run via Todmorden, and will be extended to terminate at Clitheroe.

Buses will be provided between the following stations:

  • Manchester Victoria / Manchester Piccadilly and Preston
  • Manchester Victoria and Blackburn (via Bolton)
