Engineering work is taking place between Manchester Piccadilly and Dewsbury, closing some lines overnight from 23:35.

Monday to Thursday

21:55 Newcastle to Manchester Airport service will arrive at Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport 30 minutes later than usual.

22:30 York to Manchester Piccadilly service will be re-timed to run later than usual between Huddersfield and Manchester Piccadilly.

23:20 Manchester Airport to York service will not call at Huddersfield. Buses will run between Huddersfield and Dewsbury for connecting passengers.

Tuesday to Friday

00:38 Manchester Airport to York service will be replaced by a bus between Manchester Airport and Manchester Piccadilly.

01:38 and 02:52 York to Manchester Airport services will not call at Huddersfield, but will call additionally at Brighouse. Buses will run between Brighouse and Huddersfield.

03:25 Sheffield to Manchester Airport service will be re-timed to depart Sheffield at the later time 04:00.

Project Information:

As part of the Trans-Pennine Route Upgrade, Network Rail are upgrading bridges, tunnels, track, junctions and signalling. Work will be done assessing 38 level crossings along the route, removing trees and installing fencing. Network Rail are also installing overhead line equipment so that electric trains can run along the route.
