Engineering work is taking place between Redhill and Gatwick Airport, closing some lines.

Gatwick Express

Trains will run as follows:

  • London Victoria to Brighton services will depart from London Victoria at 29 minutes and 59 minutes past the hour.
  • London Victoria to Gatwick Airport services will not run.
Great Western Railway

Buses will replace trains between Reigate and Gatwick Airport.


Buses will replace trains between Redhill and Three Bridges / Edenbridge.

Services between London Victoria and Tonbridge will run between Edenbridge and Tonbridge.

Some trains between London Victoria and Brighton will not run. Services between London Victoria and Ore will operate hourly.

Services between London Victoria and Reigate will be amended to operate between Redhill and Reigate.

Trains from London Bridge to Horsham will not call at Earlswood or Salfords. Customers should change at Purley for forward trains / rail replacement buses to complete your journey.


Trains from Bedford / London Bridge to Brighton will have journey times extended by up to 10 minutes after leaving Purley.

Trains from Bedford to Three Bridges will not call at Coulsdon South and Merstham. Customers should change at Purley for forward trains to complete your journey. 

Some London Bridge to Brighton services will be amended to make additional stops at Burgess Hill, and not call at Balcombe.
