Description

Engineering work is taking place between London Liverpool Street and Shenfield / Ingatestone / Southend Victoria / Southminster, closing all lines.

Greater Anglia:

Saturday:

No trains will run between London Liverpool Street and Ingatestone / Southend Victoria / Southminster after 01:00 on Saturday. Replacement buses will run from Newbury Park Underground station to / from Ingatestone, Southminster and Southend Victoria.

Sunday:

No trains will run between London Liverpool Street and Witham / Southend Victoria / Southminster. Replacement buses will run from Newbury Park Underground station to / from Witham, Southminster and Southend Victoria.

TfL Rail:

No trains will run between London Liverpool Street and Shenfield.

Replacement buses will run between Shenfield and Newbury Park via Chadwell Heath, and also between Romford and Stratford (not calling at Maryland).

Ticket acceptance:

Valid tickets will be accepted on London Underground Central Line services between London Liverpool Street and Newbury Park.

Greater Anglia season tickets of 1 month or longer for stations between Southend Victoria and London Liverpool Street will be accepted on c2c services between Southend Central and London Fenchurch Street. London Fenchurch Street is a short walk from London Liverpool Street.

Project Information:

The Crossrail Project is building the Elizabeth line to link Reading and Heathrow in the west with Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east, via new 21km tunnels under central London. This will increase London's rail capacity, cut passenger journey times across the city, encourage regeneration and generate significant employment opportunities.

This project is part of the London Railway Upgrade Plan, creating new connections and increasing capacity in peak hour by 30%.
