Description

Engineering work is taking place between Grays and Barking, closing all lines.

Services between Grays and London Fenchurch Street will not run. Replacement buses will run between Grays and Barking via Rainham, calling at all stations.

Project Information:

The Barking Riverside Extension Project aims to build a new station near Barking to serve over 10,000 new houses at Barking Riverside, and help create 16,000 new jobs. Barking Riverside is the largest housing development in east London, with planning permission for up to 10,800 new homes, as well as healthcare, shopping, community and leisure facilities. Without a new rail link in place, the full potential of the development at Barking Riverside cannot be achieved.
