Each night from approximately 22:00 to 05:00 (finishing at 05:00 Friday) , engineering work is taking place at various locations on the Great Western Railway network closing  the line at various locations.

Tuesday to Thursday:

The 03:45 Swansea to London Paddington is replaced by a bus between Swansea and Neath.

From approximately 21:30, trains will not call at Burnham or Taplow. Customers should travel via Slough and then replacement buses to / from Burnham and Taplow.

Wednesday and Thursday:

The 03:54 Swansea to London Paddington will start from Neath and the journey time between Port Talbot Parkway and Bridgend will be extended by up to 8 minutes.

The 22:15 London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads and the 23:30 London Paddington to Cardiff Central are diverted between Swindon and Bristol Temple Meads and will not call at Chippenham or Bath Spa. Replacement buses will run between Swindon and Bristol Temple Meads calling at these stations.

The 23:20 Bristol Temple Meads to Frome is retimed to depart Bristol Temple Meads at 22:50. A supplementary bus will run between Bristol Temple Meads and Frome departing at 23:20.

Wednesday to Friday:

The 00:17 Henley-on-Thames to Reading will terminate at Twyford with rail connection to Reading.
