Description

Engineering work is taking place between Brundall and Reedham, closing all lines.

As a result, no trains will run between Norwich and Lowestoft. Customers travelling to / from Lowestoft should use the replacement buses which run between Norwich and Lowestoft.

Customers travelling to Brundall Gardens and Brundall should use the Norwich to Great Yarmouth train service. Customers travelling to Cantley and Reedham should also use this service, and change at Acle for bus services to / from Cantley and Reedham.

The 22:02 Ipswich to Lowestoft will terminate at Saxmundham, a replacement bus will run between Saxmundham and Lowestoft.

Project Information:

Network Rail are replacing the old mechanical signalling equipment with modern technology using colour LED signals. They are also replacing manually operated switches with powered switches controlled by a remote computer based signalling system.

Track layout at several locations will also be improved to cater for increasing capacity and reliability demands of a modern railway.
