Buses replace late night / early morning trains between Crewe and Chester from Monday 14 to Friday 18 May

Engineering work is taking place overnight from Monday evening until Friday Morning, closing all lines.

As a result, the following alterations will apply:

Monday to Thursday:

The 21:27 Cardiff Central to Chester service terminates at Crewe. A replacement bus will run between Crewe and Chester, calling at all booked stations. Customers travelling to Chester should change at Shrewsbury for the 23:37 Shrewsbury to Chester (via Wrexham) service.

The 22:55 Birmingham New Street to Holyhead terminates at Crewe. Customers travelling to Holyhead should travel on the earlier 23:35 bus service from Crewe to Chester for earlier trains from Chester to Holyhead.

The 23:30 Crewe to Chester train service will be replaced by a bus service.

Tuesday to Friday:

The 04:22 Chester to Birmingham New Street service starts at Crewe. An earlier bus will depart from Chester at 03:50 for Crewe.
