Description

Trains will not run to or from the main Liverpool Lime Street station from Saturday 2 June until Sunday 29 July as further upgrade work is completed as part of Liverpool Lime Street's major transformation.

(Please note the closure only affects the main Liverpool Lime Street station, the low level 'underground' station used by Merseyrail services only will remain open. Also. some Northern trains are running to / from Liverpool Lime street until Friday 13 July.)

East Midlands Trains - Trains between Norwich / Nottingham and Liverpool Lime Street will start / terminate at Liverpool South Parkway. Customers should use Merseyrail services between Liverpool South Parkway and Liverpool Lime Street Low Level.

London Northwestern Railway - Trains between Birmingham New Street / Crewe and Liverpool Lime Street will start / terminate at Liverpool South Parkway. Customers should use Merseyrail services between Liverpool South Parkway and Liverpool Central.

Merseyrail - Liverpool Lime Street Low Level station will remain open and Merseyrail services will continue to run as normal. Please expect these services to be extremely busy.

Northern - Services that run between Manchester Oxford Road and Liverpool Lime Street will run between Manchester Oxford Road and Hunts Cross only. Replacement buses will run between Hunts Cross and Liverpool Lime Street.

Services between Blackpool North / Manchester Airport / Manchester Victoria and Liverpool Lime Street will start from / terminate at Huyton. Replacement buses will run between Huyton and Liverpool Lime Street. 

From Monday 11 June until Friday 13 July between 06:00 and 20:00. A limited train service will operate between Wigan North Western / Blackpool North / Preston / Manchester Victoria and Liverpool Lime Street.

TransPennine Express - No trains will run between Manchester Victoria and Liverpool Lime Street. Customers should use alternative Train Operators road / rail services between Manchester stations and Liverpool Lime Street. Some early morning / late night TransPennine Express services will be amended or cancelled.

Virgin Trains - Services between London Euston and Liverpool Lime Street will start / terminate at Liverpool South Parkway, and some services will call additionally at Crewe. Customers should use Merseyrail for onward travel to / from Liverpool City Centre.

On Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 July, replacement coaches will run at the beginning and end of each day where Merseyrail connections are not available.
