Engineering work is taking place between Reading and Mortimer from 21:00 on Sunday, closing all lines.


The 18:27 Manchester Picadilly to Southampton Central service will be diverted, and will not call at Basingstoke, Winchester and Southampton Airport Parkway. Journey times to Southampton Central will be increased by up to 1 hour. Replacement buses will run between Reading and Basingstoke. Customers travelling to Winchester should change at Basingstoke for rail connections to Winchester.

Great Western Railway:

After 20:30, trains between Reading and Basingstoke will be replaced by buses, calling at all booked stations. Please note this includes the 00:07 Basingstoke to Reading service running on Monday morning.
