Engineering work is taking place between Reading and Reading West after 21:00 on Saturday until 08:50 on Sunday and also from 21:00 on Sunday, closing all lines.


After 21:00 each night, trains will be diverted, and will not call at Basingstoke, Winchester and Southampton Airport Parkway. Journey times will be extended by up to an hour. A replacement bus will run between Reading and Basingstoke. Customers for Winchester and Southampton Airport Parkway should change at Basingstoke for rail connections. 

Great Western Railway:


From 20:33, trains between Reading and Basingstoke will NOT run and will be replaced by hourly road transport.


The 07:37 and 08:37 Reading to Basingstoke and the 08:07 and 09:07 Basingstoke to Reading services will NOT run and be replaced by hourly road transport.

After 20:38, trains between Reading and Basingstoke will NOT run and will be replaced by hourly road transport.

The total journey time between Reading and Basingstoke is approximately 75 minutes.
