Description

Engineering work is taking place between Glasgow Central and Motherwell, closing some lines.

Caledonian Sleeper:

The Friday night 23:53 London Euston to Glasgow Central service will divert via Mount Florida and will arrive into Glasgow Central at 07:28 (Saturday morning).

CrossCountry:

Buses replace trains between Glasgow Central and Motherwell.

London North Eastern Railway:

Trains will not run between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh. Customers should use ScotRail services between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh.

ScotRail:

Saturday

Glasgow Central to Edinburgh (via Shotts)
A reduced train service will operate between Carfin and Edinburgh only. Replacement buses operate between Glasgow Central and Shotts.

Glasgow Central - Edinburgh (via Carstairs)
These services will not operate between Glasgow Central and Motherwell.
Customers should use a connecting bus or train service to connect with these trains at Motherwell.

Glasgow Central - Lanark
These services are diverted via Mount Florida and will not call at Cambuslang. Buses also operate between Glasgow Central and Lanark

Glasgow Central - Newton
These services will operate to/from Larkhall and Motherwell (both hourly services). Station calls between Glasgow Central and Newton are unchanged.

A revised timetable will operate for trains which normally operate via Glasgow Central Low Level and Glasgow Queen Street Low Level.

Replacement buses will operate between:
Partick – Motherwell (via Whifflet)
Glasgow Central – Newton

Sunday

Glasgow Central - Lanark
These services are diverted via Mount Florida and will not call at Cambuslang.

Glasgow Central - Newton
These services will operate to / from Larkhall and Motherwell (both hourly services). Station calls between Glasgow Central and Newton are unchanged.

Argyle Line services
Milngavie – Motherwell services will operate between Milngavie and Glasgow Central Low Level.
Balloch – Larkhall/Motherwell services will operate between Balloch and Springburn.

Replacement buses will operate between:
Partick & Motherwell (via both Whifflet & Hamilton)
Glasgow Central & Motherwell

TransPennine Express:

On Saturday, trains will be retimed to depart Glasgow Central 10 minutes earlier than normal and trains arriving into Glasgow Central will arrive 10 minutes later than normal. 

On Sunday, trains will run as advertised.

Virgin Trains:

Trains between Glasgow Central and London Euston that run via Trent Valley will be diverted via Mount Florida. As a result of this, trains will be retimed to arrive at Glasgow Central later than usual and leave Glasgow Central earlier than usual.

Trains between Glasgow Central and London Euston that run via Birmingham will be amended to run between Carlisle and London Euston only.
