Description

Engineering work is taking place at various locations between Reading West and Westbury, closing lines at various times of day.

All weekend

Buses will replace trains between Theale and Newbury / Bedwyn.

High Speed services which normally run via the Newbury line will be diverted via Melksham or Bristol Temple Meads. Trains will depart London Paddington and Reading up to 35 minutes earlier than normal until 13:00 on Saturday and until 17:00 on Sunday. At all other times, they will depart up to 10 minutes earlier than normal. Some of these diverted services may call additionally at Swindon.

Saturday

Until 20:30, trains between London Paddington / Reading and Newbury / Bedwyn will operate hourly and will be replaced by road transport between Theale and Newbury / Bedwyn.

After 20:30, trains between London Paddington / Reading and Newbury / Bedwyn will not run and will be replaced by buses throughout.

Sunday

Until 09:50 and after 21:00, trains between Reading and Newbury / Bedwyn will be replaced by buses throughout.

Between 09:50 and 21:00, trains between London Paddington / Reading and Newbury / Bedwyn will operate hourly and will be replaced by road transport between Theale and Newbury / Bedwyn.
