Greater Anglia between London Liverpool Street and Chelmsford / Colchester / Ipswich / Norwich, also between Witham and Braintree

Engineering work is taking place between Chelmsford and Marks Tey / Braintree on Saturday, and between Chelmsford and Ipswich / Braintree / Harwich Town on Sunday, closing all lines.


Buses will replace trains as below:

  • between Ingatestone and Marks Tey (calling at these stations only)
  • between Chelmsford and Marks Tey
  • between Witham and Braintree

A revised timetable will operate between Marks Tey and Sudbury / Clacton-on-Sea / Ipswich / Norwich.

A shuttle train service will run between Colchester and Colchester Town / Walton-on-the-Naze and between Manningtree and Harwich Town.


Buses will replace trains as below:

  • between Ingatestone and Colchester / Manningtree / Ipswich
  • between Witham and Braintree
  • between Manningtree and Harwich Town
  • between Chelmsford and Colchester

A revised timetable will operate between Ipswich and Norwich.

A shuttle train service will run between Marks Tey and Sudbury and between Colchester and Clacton-on-Sea / Thorpe-le-Soken / Walton-on-Naze.
