Amended Northern overnight services from Monday 27 to Friday 31 August

Northern between Blackpool North and Manchester Airport, and also between Wilmslow / Manchester Victoria and Liverpool Lime Street

TOC(s) affected

Engineering work is taking place between Manchester Victoria and Salford Crescent, and also between Salford Crescent and Newton-le-Willows, closing some lines.

As a result of these works, the following amendments will take place.

Monday to Thursday:

  • The 22:25 and 23:13 Blackpool North to Manchester Airport service will terminate at Preston. Bus connections are available from Preston to Manchester Piccadilly.
  • The 22:35 Wilmslow to Liverpool Lime Street service will terminate at Manchester Oxford Road. A replacement bus will run from Manchester Oxford Road to Liverpool Lime Street.
  • The 23:31 Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Victoria service will not run. A replacement bus will operate instead of this service.
  • The 23:46 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service will terminate at Manchester Piccadilly. A bus will run from Manchester Piccadilly to Preston for onward bus connections from Preston to Blackpool North.

Tuesday to Friday:

  • The 03:33 Blackpool North to Manchester Airport service will start from Manchester Piccadilly. A replacement bus will run from Blackpool North to Manchester Piccadilly.
