Description

Engineering work is taking place between Glasgow Central and Motherwell, closing some lines.

Caledonian Sleeper:

The 23:15 Glasgow Central to London Euston service will be diverted leaving Glasgow Central. As a result, this service will depart Glasgow Central earlier than usual, at 23:05.

CrossCountry:

Services will not run to or from Glasgow Central, trains will be amended to start from or terminate at Motherwell. Replacement buses will run between Edinburgh / Glasgow Central and Motherwell.

London North Eastern Railway:

On Sunday the 16:30 London Kings Cross to Glasgow Central will terminate at Edinburgh. A replacement bus will run from Edinburgh to Motherwell. Customers for Glasgow Central should use ScotRail services.

ScotRail:

An hourly train service will run between Glasgow Central and Lanark (via Cathcart Circle), not calling at Cambuslang. A replacement bus service will run between Glasgow Central and Lanark via Cambuslang, calling at all booked stops.

Glasgow Central - Newton services will be extended to run to / from Larkhall and Motherwell.

The following services will start from / terminate at Rutherglen:

Balloch - Larkhall.

Balloch - Motherwell (via Whifflet).

Milngavie - Motherwell.

Replacement buses will operate between Bridgeton and Motherwell (both via Whifflet and also via Hamilton Circle / Cambuslang), and also between Glasgow Central and Motherwell.

TransPennine Express:

Services running to Glasgow Central will arrive up to 10 minutes later than usual.

Services running from Glasgow Central will depart up to 10 minutes earlier than usual.

Replacement buses will run between Carlisle and Edinburgh. These buses will not call at Haymarket.

Virgin Trains:

Services running to / from Edinburgh will be amended to terminate at / start from Carlisle, with replacement buses running between Carlisle and Edinburgh.

Additionally, the following trains will run to / from Glasgow Central instead of Edinburgh:

  • 10:51 Edinburgh to London Euston.
  • 12:51 Edinburgh to London Euston.
  • 16:40 London Euston to Edinburgh.

 

Trains running to / from Glasgow Central will be diverted between Motherwell and Glasgow Central, with journey times being extended by a few minutes.
