Description

Engineering work is taking place overnight from Monday evening until Friday morning, closing some lines in the Wakefield Kirkgate / Knottingley area.

Monday to Thursday:

  • The 22:31 Sheffield to Leeds service will not call at Castleford. A replacement bus will run from Normanton to Leeds calling at Castleford and Woodlesford.
  • The 22:50 Leeds to Knottingley service will terminate at Wakefield Kirkgate. A bus will run from Wakefield Kirkgate to Knottingley.
  • The 23:16 Leeds to Knottingley service will terminate at Castleford. A replacement bus will run from Castleford to Knottingley.

Tuesday to Friday:

  • The 05:24 Leeds to Knottingley will be replaced by a bus throughout.
  • The 05:47 Leeds to Knottingley service will start from Castleford. A bus will run from Leeds at 05:20 to connect with the train at Castleford.
  • The 06:12 Knottingley to Leeds service will start from Castleford. A replacement bus will run from Knottingley to Castleford, departing Knottingley at 05:55 to connect with the train at Castleford. A second bus will run from Knottingley to Castleford, leaving Knottingley at 06:25.
