Description

Engineering work is taking place between Huddersfield and York, closing some lines until 07:30.

Overnight and early morning trains between Manchester Airport and York will be replaced by buses between Huddersfield and York.

Additionally, the 06:19 York to Manchester Airport service will only run between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport. A replacement bus will be provided from York (departing at 05:50) for Manchester Airport, calling at Leeds, Dewsbury, Huddersfield, Stalybridge and Manchester Piccadilly.

Bicycles:

Non folding bicycles are not allowed on rail replacement bus services at any time. Folding bicycles are allowed if fully folded. For more information, please see here.

Project Information:

As part of the Trans-Pennine Route Upgrade, Network Rail are upgrading bridges, tunnels, track, junctions and signalling. Work will be done assessing 38 level crossings along the route, removing trees and installing fencing. Network Rail are also installing overhead line equipment so that electric trains can run along the route.
