Description

Engineering work is taking place between York and Leeds, closing some lines from 23:45 each night.

The following trains will be retimed to depart York up to 20 minutes later than usual:

  • 01:38 York to Manchester Airport will depart at 01:54
  • 02:52 York to Manchester Airport will depart at 03:09
  • 05:05 York to Manchester Airport will depart at 05:19

Bicycles:

Non folding bicycles are not allowed on rail replacement bus services at any time. Folding bicycles are allowed if fully folded. For more information, please see here.

Project Information:

As part of the Trans-Pennine Route Upgrade, Network Rail are upgrading bridges, tunnels, track, junctions and signalling. Work will be done assessing 38 level crossings along the route, removing trees and installing fencing. Network Rail are also installing overhead line equipment so that electric trains can run along the route.
