Between Shoeburyness / Southend Central and London Liverpool Street / London Fenchurch Street

Engineering work is taking place between Barking and London Liverpool Street and also between Southend Central and Leigh-on-Sea, closing various lines.

Until 14:00, buses will replace trains between Leigh-on-Sea and Basildon / Stanford-le-Hope.

All day, the following alterations will apply:

Services between Shoeburyness and London Liverpool Street will be diverted to run to / from London Fenchurch Street and will call additionally at West Ham. These services will also be retimed.

Services between Shoeburyness and London Fenchurch Street will be retimed.

Services between Southend Central and London Fenchurch Street via Ockenden will be amended to run between Pitsea and London Fenchurch Street.

Platforms at Westcliff, Chalkwell and Leigh-on-Sea will be closed, with services calling at these stations using different platforms from usual.

Ticket acceptance: 

Customers with a valid rail ticket may use the London Underground Jubilee Line or Docklands Light Railway between West Ham and Stratford at no extra charge. London Liverpool Street station is a short walk away from London Fenchurch Street station.
