Buses replace overnight trains between Cardiff Central and Bridgend via Barry from Monday 22 to Friday 26 October

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Cardiff Central and Bridgend via Barry, closing all lines overnight between 23:15 and 05:50.

The following trains will be amended:

Monday to Thursday:

  • 21:51 Aberdare to Penarth will terminate at Cardiff Central. A replacement bus service will run between Cardiff Central and Penarth.
  • 22:42 Bridgend to Cardiff Central service will be diverted via Pontyclun. A replacement bus will run between Bridgend and Cardiff Central via Barry.
  • The 23:14 Radyr to Barry Island service will terminate at Cardiff Central. A replacement bus will run from Cardiff Central to Barry Island.
  • The 23:26 Penarth to Cardiff Central service will not run. A replacement bus will run instead of this service.

Tuesday to Friday:

  • The 05:16 Barry Island to Caerphilly service will start at Cardiff Central. A replacement bus will run from Barry Island at 05:00 to Cardiff Central, to connect with this service.
