Greater Anglia between Norwich and Great Yarmouth / Lowestoft

Engineering work is taking place between Norwich and Great Yarmouth and between Norwich and Lowestoft, closing all lines.

Buses will replace trains between Norwich and Great Yarmouth, and also between Norwich and Lowestoft.

There will be no train or replacement bus service via Berney Arms. Buses will not call at Buckenham, Haddiscoe and Somerleyton.

Additional information:

Customers at Buckenham, Haddiscoe and Somerleyton should use the station help-points to arrange onward travel.

The bus pick up / drop off at Brundall will be at the bus stops on The Street.

The bus pick up / drop off at Brundall Gardens will be at the bus stops on Cucumber Lane.

Project Information:

Network Rail are replacing the old mechanical signalling equipment with modern technology using colour LED signals. They are also replacing manually operated switches with powered switches controlled by a remote computer based signalling system.

Track layout at several locations will also be improved to cater for increasing capacity and reliability demands of a modern railway.
