Buses replace overnight trains between Three Bridges and Brighton from Monday 27 to Friday 31 August

Engineering work is taking place overnight from Monday evening and Friday morning between Balcombe and Preston Park, closing all lines.

The following trains will not run between Three Bridges and Brighton:


Monday to Thursday:

  • The 23:25 London Victoria to Brighton will terminate at Three Bridges.


Tuesday to Friday:

  • The 00:02 London Victoria to Worthing / Eastbourne will terminate at Three Bridges. An additional service will run: 02:05 Brighton to Worthing service


Replacement buses will run between Three Bridges and Brighton.


Monday to Thursday:
  • 21:49, 22:45 and 23:45 Bedford to Brighton services.


Tuesday to Friday:
  • 00:04 Brighton to Bedford service (Customers for this service should use the 23:13 Southern Brighton to London Victoria service, which will additionally call at Preston Park and Balcombe.
  • 04:12 Brighton to Bedford service.
  • 05:06 Brighton to Cambridge service.


Buses will replace trains between Three Bridges and Brighton to connect with trains. As a result, buses from Brighton to Three Bridges will depart Brighton earlier than the train they replace.
