Description

Engineering work is taking place between Stevenage and London Kings Cross / Moorgate on Sunday 24 February, and as a result, some lines will be closed.

The train service will be affected as follows:

Grand Central services will be diverted from the East Coast Main Line between Stevenage and Alexandra Palace, travelling via Hertford North, to avoid engineering works. This diversion is anticipated to extend journey times by up approximately 15 minutes.

Great Northern / Thameslink:
Trains between London King's Cross and Stevenage, Peterborough, Cambridge and King's Lynn will be diverted between Alexandra Palace and Stevenage and will be unable to call at stations via Welwyn Garden City. A revised timetable will operate with extended journey times.

Replacement buses will operate calling at stations between Alexandra Palace and Stevenage via Welwyn Garden City, and also between Hertford North and Stevenage.

Hull Trains:
Train services will be diverted, extending journey times to / from London Kings Cross by a few minutes.

London North Eastern Railway:
London North Eastern Railway services will be diverted from the East Coast Main Line between Stevenage and Alexandra Palace, travelling via Hertford North, to avoid engineering works. This diversion is anticipated to extend journey times by up approximately 15 minutes.

To minimise disruption to LNER services, trains scheduled to start their journey from London Kings Cross will depart the station approximately 15 minutes earlier.
