Description

Engineering work is taking place between Stafford and Stoke-on-Trent, closing all lines.

CrossCountry

Trains will be diverted. Buses will be provided to run between Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent, Macclesfield and Stockport.

London Northwestern Railway

Trains will run direct between Stafford and Crewe, not calling at intermediate stations. Trains will arrive at Crewe up to 30 minutes earlier than usual, and will also depart Crewe up to 30 minutes later than usual.

Buses will be provided to run between Stafford, Stone, Stoke-on-Trent, Kidsgrove, Alsager and Crewe.

Northern:

Saturday:

The 21:43 Manchester Piccadilly to Stoke-on-Trent services will terminate at Macclesfield. The 22:55 Stoke-on-Trent to Manchester Piccadilly service will start from Macclesfield. Buses will replace trains between Macclesfield and Stoke-on-Trent.

Sunday:

Buses will replace trains between Macclesfield and Stoke-on-Trent.

Virgin Trains

On Sunday, no trains will run via Stoke-on-Trent. Instead, trains will be diverted via Crewe. Buses will be provided to run between Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent, Macclesfield and Wilmslow.
