Engineering work is taking place between Shrewsbury and Chester, closing some lines from 22:00 Sunday 7 April.

The following alterations apply:

  • 21:12 Cardiff Central to Chester service (starting at Cwmbran due to another engineering block) will be diverted via Wrexham General. Customers for Yorton, Wem, Prees, Whitchurch, Wrenbury, Nantwich and Crewe should change at Shrewsbury for 23:24 replacement road transport. Customers at Crewe travelling to Chester should travel on the retimed 22:40 Birmingham International to Holyhead
  • 21:09 Birmingham International to Chester will be diverted via Wrexham General. Customers at Crewe should change at Shrewsbury for the 22:40 replacement road transport
  • 22:40 Birmingham International to Holyhead will be retimed to depart Crewe at 00:10
  • 23:00 Chester to Shrewsbury service will start later at 23:22 and be diverted by Wrexham General. Customers should travel on the 23:00 replacement road transport from Crewe, calling at intermediate stations
