Description

Engineering work is taking place in the Manchester Victoria area, closing all lines to and from Manchester Victoria.

Northern

Buses will replace trains between:   

  • Manchester Victoria and Stalybridge.
  • Manchester Victoria and Salford Crescent.

Sunday only

Trains between Manchester Victoria and Blackpool North / Wigan / Southport via Atherton are diverted to start / terminate from Manchester Oxford Road.

Buses will replace trains between Manchester Victoria and Rochdale (some of these buses are extended to run to / from Blackburn).

TransPennine Express

There will be NO DIRECT trains to / from Manchester Airport.

Trains between Manchester Airport and Newcastle / Middlesbrough will start from / terminate at Manchester Piccadilly and will not call at Manchester Oxford Road or Manchester Victoria..

Frequent alternative services are available between Manchester Airport and Manchester Piccadilly.

Trains between Liverpool Lime Street and Scarborough will be diverted to operate between Manchester Piccadilly and Scarborough calling additionally at Stalybridge, Greenfield, Marsden and Slaithwaite.

Trains between Liverpool Lime Street and Newcastle will only operate between Leeds and Newcastle.

Customers should use alternative TransPennine Express trains between Liverpool Lime Street and Leeds.

An hourly service will run between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Oxford Road calling at Lea Green and Newton-le-Willows.
