| Description | Northern Rail: Buxton - Blackpool North services These services are diverted between Salford Crescent and Preston and will not call at Bolton, Lostock, Horwich Parkway, Blackrod, Adlington, and Chorley. Replacement road transport will operate between Manchester Piccadilly and Preston calling at these stations Southport / Wigan Wallgate - Alderley Edge services These services are diverted between Hindley and Salford Crescent and will not call at Westhaughton, Bolton, Levenshulme, Heaton Chapel, Stockport, Cheadle Hulme and Handforth. Replacement road transport will operate between Wigan Wallgate and Manchester Piccadilly calling at these stations Manchester Victoria - Blackburn / Clitheroe These services will operate between Bolton and Blackburn / Clitheroe. Replacement road transport will operate between Manchester Piccadilly and Bolton It is not yet known how this engineering work will affect First Transpennine Express |
