A normal weekday service will run
Saturday 24 December Christmas Eve
A normal Saturday service will run until an earlier close of service than usual (last trains will be 20:45 from Ryde Pier Head to Ryde St Johns Road / 20:07 to Shanklin, and 20:38 from Shanklin to Ryde St Johns Road).

Please note
Members of the RMT Union working for Wightlink Ferries had proposed to take industrial action on Saturday 24 December and also on Monday 26 December. This action has now been called off, and the planned ferry services will sail.
Sunday 25 December Christmas Day
No Island Line services will run

Boxing Day
No Island Line services will run
Tuesday 27 December Bank Holiday
Trains will start with the 06:35 train from Ryde St Johns, then a normal weekday service will run.
Wednesday 28 December A normal weekday service will run.
Thursday 29 December A normal weekday service will run.
Friday 30 December A normal weekday service will run.
Saturday 31 December New Years Eve
A normal Saturday service will run until an earlier close of service than usual (last trains will be 20:45 from Ryde Pier Head to Ryde St Johns Road / 20:07 to Shanklin, and 20:38 from Shanklin to Ryde St Johns Road).
Sunday 1 January 2012
New Years Day
An hourly train service will run between Ryde Pier Head and Shanklin. Trains will depart from Ryde at 45 minutes past each hour between 08:45 and 21:45, and will depart from Shanklin at 13 minutes past each hour between 08:13 and 22:13.

The bus link to / from Ventnor will not be running today.
Monday 2 January Bank Holiday
Trains will start with the 06:35 train from Ryde St Johns, then a normal weekday service will run.
Tuesday 3 January A normal weekday service will run.

Ferry Sailing information

Wightlink Ferries
Unlike previous years, Wightlink will not be providing Christmas Day ferry sailings between Lymington and Yarmouth, or between Portsmouth and Fishbourne.

The last sailing on Christmas Eve will be the 20:30 sailing, and will resume with the 08:00 sailing on Boxing Day.

Hovertravel
The last sailing on Christmas Eve (Saturday 24 December) and New Years Eve (Saturday 31 December) will be the 17:45 from Ryde Hoverport, and the 18:00 from Southsea Hoverport.

There are no Hovertravel sailings on Christmas Day or Boxing Day.

Sailings will resume with the 07:45 from Ryde and the 08:00 from Southsea on Tuesday 27 December.

On Sunday 1 January, the first sailings will be the 10:15 from Ryde and the 10:30 from Southsea.
