Easy ways to find out about your trains this winter
Wintry weather can cause problems for train companies and Network Rail: equipment becoming frozen; ice on the rails leading to wheels slipping & wider transport issues affecting the ability of staff to get to work.
This winter, train companies and Network Rail will do everything they can to minimise the disruption to your journey, however if there are problems there are lots of ways that you can find out what’s happening to your trains.
Why not do these things now so that you are prepared?
- National Rail Enquiries offers free alerting via Twitter & Email. Sign up for travel alerts at www.nationalrail.co.uk/alerts. We’ll let you know as soon as we know there’s a problem with your planned journey
- Follow us on Twitter or Facebook - we have a list of accounts for each train company here. Our team based in Doncaster will keep you informed and answer your questions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
