Preston Station - Bus stop to main entrance
Route starts at bus stop Z opposite the railway station. The stop provides all services to the bus station and there is a shelter and seating provided.
Exit the bus and turn right onto Fishergate.
Continue ahead along the pavement behind the shelter and head towards the crossing point.
At 25 metres turn right at the crossing point.
Proceed over the crossing to the central refuge area. There are dropped kerbs and tactile paving on both sides with a button to control traffic at an accessible height.
At 35 metres having reached the central island refuge, turn right and head towards the next crossing.
At 38 metres cross over the road. Again there are drop kerbs on both sides and a button to control traffic at an accessible height.
At 48 metres having crossed the road continue back along Fishergate.
At 80 metres turn left towards the access road leading to the station.
At 83 metres continue along the pavement which slopes downwards steeply passing the taxi rank.
At 170 metres turn right passing the accessible spaces.
At 180 metres turn left into the entrance which has a double automatic door which slides open on approach.
Route ends at the main entrance of Preston station.
