A normal Sunday service will run on most routes, subject to engineering work, but an amended service level will run during the day on the following routes:

• Between Swindon & Cheltenham Spa - One train every 90 minutes.
• Between London Paddington & Bristol Temple Meads via Bath Spa - One train every 60 minutes.
• Between London Paddington & Bristol Temple Meads via Bristol Parkway - One train every 60 minutes (customers travelling to and from Cardiff and South Wales should travel via Bristol Parkway and replacement bus services because of engineering work).
• Between London Paddington and Plymouth / Penzance - some services will be retimed from the normal Sunday timetable.

Services are also subject to the following:

• Engineering work in the Southampton Central area
• Engineering work between Bristol Parkway and Newport

The "Night Riviera" sleeper services between London Paddington and Penzance (in both directions) will not run (resumes Sunday 3 January).

A Saturday level of service will run on all other routes, subject to the following:

• Engineering work in the Southampton Central area
• Engineering work between Bristol Parkway and Newport

The "Night Riviera" sleeper services between London Paddington and Penzance (in both directions) will not run (resumes Sunday 3 January).

On Tuesday 29 December, some services will call additionally at Newbury Racecourse for customers travelling to and from the race meeting.

• Engineering work between Theale and Westbury
• Engineering work between Redhill and Gatwick Airport
• Engineering work between Barnham and Angmering
• Early morning engineering work between Southall and Maidenhead (until 08:45)
