Further Information

For further information see

DayRover tickets come in two forms, Scratch Off and Pre-dated, depending upon when you want to travel.

  • Scratch Off tickets (Family, Train & Bus DayRovers), which are sold at bus stations and some Tourist Information Centres, have no specific date of travel. On the day you want to use the ticket, simply scratch off the day, date and month and year and seal it with the protective overlay. Scratch Off tickets are not sold at rail outlets.
  • Pre-dated tickets (Family, Train & Bus, Train DayRovers) are sold at rail stations. You can buy them on the day of use or in advance if you know when you want to travel. You can even buy your Train DayRover on the train if there is no booking office open.

DayRovers mean you can start out as early as you want at weekends and on public holidays, and after 09.30am on normal weekdays.

Note that use between midnight and 00:30 is permitted on a ticket showing the previous day’s date.

Tickets are not valid on trains Monday to Friday between 16:01 and 18:29.

Train & Bus travel is not valid in zone 6 and 7
