Discounted fares for local residents travelling on the Esk Valley Railway between Middlesbrough and Whitby

Details

The railcard is valid for all journeys between Whitby and Middlesbrough and is available to residents of selected postcodes in North Yorkshire and Teesside only. The railcard costs £10.00 and is valid for one year.

Discounts available

Adult

The card holder is entitled to 34% discount on Anytime Day and Anytime ticket types. There is no minimum fare on Anytime Day and Anytime ticket types for the card holder.

Children

Children are entitled to 81% discount on Anytime Day and Anytime ticket types. There is a minimum fare of £1.00 for any accompanying child.

The railcard can be purchased at Whitby and Middlesbrough ticket offices on the Esk Valley Railway Line and additionally at the ticket offices at Malton, Redcar Central, Scarborough, Thirsk and Thornaby stations only.
