Megatrain is a ‘budget train service’ offering rail fares from as little as a £1 each way, based on the concept of filling up seats on specific services that are currently not busy.

Megatrain offers seats through a dedicated website www.megatrain.com and phone hotline with the cheapest fares available the earlier passengers book.

Available on selected journeys with the following train operators:

  • East Midlands Trains
  • South West Trains
  • Virgin Trains

Details
  • Customers can amend a reservation only if this is completed more than 48 hours before the first journey you reserved is scheduled to depart. A £1 fee (50p amendment and 50p booking) is charged for all reservation being changed.
  • A maximum of two children under 5 years old may travel with each fare-paying adult
  • Passengers are required to present a valid reference number, provided at the time of booking, when boarding one of our services or entering/departing a train station.
