With a Kids Go Free ticket:

Adults pay the appropriate Off Peak fare.
Accompanying children travel free.
Group size: Up to two kids can travel free with one fare paying adult and up to four kids with two fare paying adults.
Valid all day Saturday and Sunday. Monday to Friday, available for travel off-peak, every day, throughout the year.

Kids Go Free tickets are valid on all First ScotRail services, restrictions may apply on other train company services.

Valid for travel on all services in Scotland with the following exceptions:

Not valid on National Express East Coast services on Sundays between Edinburgh and Dundee after 1600hrs, but is allowed for longer journeys from Edinburgh to Montrose and beyond.
Not valid on National Express East Coast Services to and from Berwick upon Tweed.
In July and August not valid on National Express East Coast services between Inverness and Edinburgh nor between Edinburgh and Aberdeen in both directions. It is however, valid on intermediate journeys entirely north of Edinburgh, for example Inverness to Pitlochry.

Tickets are valid on off-peak on date of issue only, for travel in Standard Class accommodation.

There is no Weekend First Upgrade available.

Reservations are not required with Kids Go Free.
