The Devon & Cornwall Railcard residents of Devon and Cornwall one-third off most Standard Class Off-Peak and Off-Peak Day train tickets across Devon and Cornwall, including PlusBus tickets.

Discounted tickets can be used for travel on First Great Western, South West Trains and CrossCountry services.

One accompanying adult also receives one-third off their ticket and you can take up to four accompanying children (aged 5-15) for a flat fare of  £1 each (£2 for Day Ranger tickets).

Conditions

Not valid on:

  • Tickets that extend outside Devon and Cornwall
  • Season tickets
  • Anytime or Anytime Day tickets
  • First Class tickets, although you can upgrade a discounted Standard ticket at weekends by paying the normal weekend upgrade charge
  • In conjunction with any other special promotion, unless specifically advertised
  • On any special excursion train
  • On bus services, except for PlusBus tickets to/from towns and cities in Devon and Cornwall where PlusBus is available

How to buy

Am I eligible?

Anyone aged 16 years of age or over, who is resident within the counties of Devon or Cornwall, City of Plymouth, Torbay Unitary Authority or Isles of Scilly can apply for a Devon & Cornwall Railcard.

What documents are accepted as proof of residency and proof of identity?

Proof of residency:

  • Council tax bill
  • Utility bill
  • Bank/credit card statement
  • Driving licence

Proof of identity:

  • Passport
  • Driving Licence (incorporating a photo)
  • College / Work ID

How do I get a Devon & Cornwall Railcard (Gold Card)

To get a Devon & Cornwall Railcard please complete the application form and take it together with proof of residency and proof of identity to any staffed station within Devon and Cornwall or any National Rail travel agent within Devon and Cornwall.

Devon & Cornwall Gold Cards are issued to Annual Season Tickets sold within and for journeys wholly within Devon and Cornwall.

Please note: The Journey Planner and online ticket retailers will not calculate discounts for Devon & Cornwall Railcard holders (Devon & Cornwall Gold Cards will be recognised). Tickets should be purchased in person from the Ticket Office to claim the Railcard discount.
