Description
Engineering work is taking place between Reading West and Basingstoke, closing some lines.
CrossCountry:
Sunday
Trains will not call at Basingstoke, Winchester and Southampton Airport Parkway.
Journey times will be extended by one hour.
Replacement road transport will operate between Reading, Basingstoke and Winchester.
Great Western Railway:
Saturday night
The 22:55 Basingstoke to Reading will depart earlier at 22:50.
The 23:05 Reading to Basingstoke will not run and will be replaced by replacement bus service at 23:32 from Reading to Reading Green Park, Mortimer, Bramley and Basingstoke arrive 00:42 (Sun). Reading West customers to use rail services between Reading and Newbury.
The 23:20 Basingstoke to Reading will operate 15 minutes earlier than normal throughout, starting from Basingstoke at 23:05. It will operate non-stop to Reading West, then Reading, not calling at Bramley, Mortimer and Reading Green Park.
The 23:40 Basingstoke to Reading will not run. You should travel by the amended 23:20 Basingstoke to Reading service, or by replacement road transport at the much later time of 00:50 (Sun) from Basingstoke to Bramley, Mortimer, Reading Green Park, setting down only at Reading West and Reading arrive 02:08.
Sunday
Trains between Reading and Redhill will operate to an amended timetable, with some departing up to 10 minutes later than normal.
Trains between Reading and Basingstoke will not run and will be replaced by road transport.
All buses will call Reading Green Park, Mortimer and Bramley.
Reading West customers to use rail services between Reading and Newbury / Bedwyn.
CrossCountry will be operating fast buses between Reading and Basingstoke for much of the day. Customers travelling between Reading and Basingstoke should use these fast buses.
