Description

Engineering work is taking place between Bristol Temple Meads and Taunton, closing all lines. ​​​​​​​

CrossCountry:

Trains between Bristol Temple Meads and Taunton will be diverted to run via Westbury (not calling), extending journey times by up to 60 minutes.

Great Western Railway:

Trains will not run between Bristol Temple Meads and Weston-super-Mare. All trains via Bridgwater will be diverted to start / terminate at Weston-super-Mare, and will run to an amended and reduced timetable.

Replacement buses will run between:

  • Bristol Temple Meads and Weston-super-Mare (direct).

  • Bristol Temple Meads and Weston-super-Mare, calling at Nailsea & Blackwell*, Yatton and Worle. Some buses will also call at Weston Milton.

*The pick-up/drop-off location for replacement buses for Nailsea & Backwell customers will NOT be at the station it will be the Crossroads bus stops on the A370 in Backwell village instead – about 15/20 min walk from the railway station.

For Bedminster / Parson Street, you should use local bus services to / from Bristol Temple Meads.

Trains between Bristol Temple Meads and Filton Abbey Wood / Stapleton Road / Lawrence Hill will not run. These stations will be served by alternative Great Western Railway services between Bristol Temple Meads and Cardiff Central.
