Reduced service between Bristol Temple Meads and Filton Abbey Wood from Monday 5 to Friday 9 June

Description

Engineering work is taking place on 2 out of 4 tracks between Stapleton Road and Filton Abbey Wood, closing some lines.

Monday to Thursday:

Trains between Bristol Temple Meads and Lawrence Hill, Stapleton Road and Filton Abbey Wood will not run.

Trains between Bristol Temple Meads (and beyond) and Bristol Parkway / Cardiff Central that would normally call at Lawrence Hill and Stapleton Road will not do so. 

Lawrence Hill and Stapleton Road will continue to be served by trains between Weston-super-Mare / Bristol Temple Meads and Avonmouth / Severn Beach. If you are travelling between Lawrence Hill / Stapleton Road and Filton Abbey Wood you should use these train services and travel via Bristol Temple Meads.

Late night / early morning replacement buses will run between Bristol Parkway, and Bristol Temple Meads via Filton Abbey Wood, Stapleton Road and Lawrence Hill. At Filton Abbey Wood, buses from Bristol Parkway will stop to pick up only, and buses from Bristol Temple Meads will stop to drop off only.

Friday:

Trains between Cardiff Central and Portsmouth Harbour will start / terminate Bristol Parkway. Road transport will operate between Newport and Bristol Parkway with rail connections between Cardiff Central and Newport. Road transport will also operate between Newport, Severn Tunnel Junction, Patchway and Bristol Parkway.

Trains between Cardiff Central and Taunton(and beyond) will start / terminate Bristol Temple Meads.

Trains between Cardiff Central and Bristol Temple Meads will not run. 

Rail connections Cardiff Central - Newport with road transport (as above) to / from Bristol Parkway.

Rail connections Bristol Parkway - Bristol Temple Meads (and beyond by CrossCountry Trains) or to connect at Bristol Temple Meads for local stations to Taunton (and beyond).

Additionally:

• 05:53 Bristol Temple Meads to Cardiff Central will not run and will be part replaced by earlier road transport from Bristol Temple Meads to Newport, calling Filton Abbey Wood, Patchway and Severn Tunnel Junction. Rail connection Newport-Cardiff Central.

• 23:30 Cardiff Central to Bristol Temple Meads will not run and will be replaced by road transport throughout (two buses): 23:30 Cardiff Central to Bristol Temple Meads, calling Newport (pick up only) and 23:30 Cardiff Central to Bristol Temple Meads, calling Newport (pick up only), then all stations.
