Description

Engineering work is taking place between Stockport and Cheadle Hulme, closing some lines. ​​​​​​​

Avanti West Coast:

Trains will be diverted to run via Crewe / Wilmslow / Styal.

Replacement buses will run between:

• Stafford and Stockport via Stoke-on-Trent / Macclesfield.

• Wilmslow and Stockport.

CrossCountry:

Trains will not call at Stoke-on-Trent or Macclesfield, and will be diverted to run via Wilmslow.

Replacement buses will run between:

• Stafford and Stockport via Stoke-on-Trent / Macclesfield.

• Wilmslow and Macclesfield (connecting with diverted train services at Wilmslow).

East Midlands Railway:

Trains between Newark Castle / Derby and Crewe will terminate at Blythe Bridge.

Buses will replace trains between Blythe Bridge and Crewe, calling at Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, Kidsgrove, Alsager and Crewe.

London Northwestern Railway:

Trains between Crewe and Stafford via Stoke on Trent will not run.

Rail replacement buses will run between Crewe and Stafford, calling at Alsager, Kidsgrove, Longport, Stoke-on-Trent and Stone.

Northern:

Saturday

Trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Stoke-on-Trent will not run.

Trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe via Stockport will not run.

Trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe via Manchester Airport will call additionally at Chelford and Goostrey.

A revised train service will be provided between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport.

Buses will be provided between:

• Stockport and Wilmslow

• Stockport and Stoke-on-Trent

Sunday

Trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Stoke-on-Trent will not run.

Trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe via Manchester Airport will not run.

Trains between Liverpool Lime Street and Wilmslow, will be extended to terminate / start from Crewe.

Buses will be provided between:

• Manchester Piccadilly and Wilmslow

• Manchester Piccadilly and Stoke-on-Trent

Transport for Wales:

Buses will replace trains between Crewe and Manchester Piccadilly, calling at Wilmslow and Stockport.
