Trains between Glasgow Central and Kilmarnock / Carlisle

Description

Following a fault with the signalling system between Stewarton and Kilmarnock all lines have reopened. As service recovers, trains running between Glasgow Central and Kilmarnock may still be delayed by up to 20 minutes, cancelled or revised.

Disruption is expected until 21:30.

Customer advice:

Rail replacement transport has been requested to run as follows:

  • x1 Westway Travel at Barrhead ETA 19:15

Your tickets can be used at no extra cost on the following services:

  • Alternative ScotRail services via any reasonable route

  • Stagecoach Buses between Glasgow Central and Kilmarnock

If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
